In response to the devastation caused by Hurricane Helene, Starlink is offering free internet service for the first month to those impacted by the disaster. This initiative aims to help individuals and emergency responders access vital online connectivity during the recovery period.
How to Access Free Starlink Service for Helene Relief:
New Customers:
- Visit starlink.com/residential.
- Enter your address and click “Order Now.
- Select the “Helene Relief” service plan and proceed to checkout.
- Note: Only areas impacted by Hurricane Helene will see the “Helene Relief” service option. If the $0 option does not appear, your area is not eligible. Contact support if you believe there is an error.
Current Customers Activating Additional Kits:
- Go to starlink.com/activate.
- Enter your Starlink kit identifier and address, then select “Residential.”
- Choose the “Helene Relief” service plan and complete checkout.
- The limit for residential accounts has been increased to 20 kits temporarily. For larger emergency response activations, contact support to request Helene assistance.
Existing Starlink Customers:
- If you need assistance due to Hurricane Helene, create a support ticket requesting a Helene relief credit. Eligibility will be determined based on the impacted areas.
Important Information:
- After 30 days of free service, users will be moved to a paid Residential subscription based on their current location. Starlink will notify users before the change.
- There may be limitations on continuing the free service or transferring kits outside the affected disaster region.
