West Wickham Crash: A232 High Street Remains Closed Following Overnight Collision

The A232 High Street in West Wickham remains shut in both directions following a collision in the early hours of this morning.

The life changing collision occurred at approximately 1am on Thursday (13 March) between A214 Station Road (Swan traffic lights) and Ravenswood Avenue. Emergency services, including the Metropolitan Police and London Ambulance Service, attended the scene, where paramedics treated at least one person involved.

The road has stayed closed throughout the morning as investigators conduct detailed examinations at the scene. As a result, surrounding routes including Station Road and Ravenswood Crescent are heavily congested as traffic diverts around the closure.

A source for the Metropolitan Police said:

“Officers were called shortly after 1am to a collision on the A232 High Street. Paramedics treated one person at the scene. The road remains closed in both directions as enquiries continue.”

Drivers are advised to avoid the area and plan alternative routes until the road reopens.

Further updates will follow as the investigation progresses.
