A woman in her 30s has been found dead near the South Foreland Lighthouse in St. Margarets Bay, Dover. Emergency services, including police, coastguard teams, and an air ambulance, responded to reports of concern for her welfare at approximately 3:15 p.m. on Friday, August 23.
Upon arrival, crews discovered the woman’s body in the area surrounding the lighthouse. A coastguard rescue helicopter was also deployed to assist in the search and recovery efforts.
Authorities have confirmed that the woman’s next of kin have been notified, and her death is not being treated as suspicious. A report will be prepared for the coroner to determine the official cause of death.
