Detectives in Paisley are intensively investigating a sexual assault that occurred on Monday, 3 February, 2025, involving a 16-year-old girl at a bus shelter on Causeyside Street. The incident, which took place around 6:15 pm, has prompted an urgent appeal for public assistance.

Suspect Description and Immediate Concerns

The suspect, described as a white male in his mid-20s, presents specific identifying characteristics:

  • Tall stature
  • Thin facial structure
  • Shaved head
  • Dark eyes
  • Notably, visible dental issues (rotten teeth)

Clothing at the time of the incident included:

  • North Face jacket with hood up
  • Dark jogging bottoms
  • Dark shoes

Detective Constable Kenny McLachlan from the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) accentuated the urgency of the investigation. Police Scotland is particularly interested in two key witness groups:
