Missing Person Found Safe Near Shanklin Esplanade After Coastguard Search

 

HM Bembridge Coastguard Rescue Team, alongside Ventnor Coastguard Rescue Team and Bembridge RNLI, were called out Sunday afternoon to assist in the search for a missing person last seen on Shanklin Esplanade. The teams were dispatched at 4:42 p.m., preparing for an extensive search operation.

Fortunately, shortly after their arrival on the scene, the Coastguard received positive news that the individual had been found safe and well in Bonchurch. The Coastguard teams were able to stand down, and the person was reunited with their family, bringing relief to all involved.

The incident highlights the quick response and collaboration among local rescue teams to ensure the safety of residents and visitors along the coast.
