Labour Party Aide Sam Gould Avoids Jail After Admitting Indecent Exposure to Teenage Girl

A former Labour Party senior aide has avoided prison after admitting two offences of indecent exposure, including an incident involving a 13-year-old girl.

Sam Gould, 33, of Lodge Court, Hornchurch — who previously worked as a senior aide to Health Secretary Wes Streeting and served as an elected Labour councillor for Redbridge Council — was sentenced on Monday (April 28) at Barkingside Magistrates’ Court.

Gould was sacked by Mr Streeting and resigned from his council role after he exposed himself to a teenage girl in Romford, chasing her around a neighbourhood in a terrifying ordeal. After his arrest, police linked him to an earlier indecent exposure offence in Hornchurch.

Shocking Details of the Offences

The first incident took place on February 9 in Patricia Drive, Hornchurch. A female dog walker witnessed Gould masturbating inside his car after it had passed her twice. Distressed, she took down his registration number and contacted police.

A month later, on March 8, Gould targeted a 13-year-old girl walking alone in Hainault Road, Romford. Prosecutors said Gould again exposed himself
