Attempted Abduction in Erdington, Birmingham

 

West Midlands Police have launched an urgent appeal to identify a man they wish to speak to in connection with an attempted abduction in Erdington, Birmingham.

The incident occurred on Summer Road at around 11pm on 10 November 2024.
Police officers responded quickly to the scene and confirmed that the victim was unhurt and is safe.

Since the incident, investigators have conducted a thorough review of CCTV footage, leading to the identification of a man they now wish to speak to as part of the ongoing investigation.

West Midlands Police have released an image of the man and are asking the public for assistance in tracing him.

Anyone who recognises the man, or who has information about the incident, is urged to contact police via Live Chat on the West Midlands Police website, or by calling 101, quoting crime reference 20/884446/24.

Police continue to provide reassurance patrols in the area and are appealing for witnesses or anyone with further CCTV or dashcam footage.
