Arrested After Serious Collision in Margate

A man has been arrested following a serious collision in Margate that left a pedestrian with significant injuries.

Kent Police were called to Canterbury Road at around 9pm on Monday, 28 April, after reports of a collision between a car and a pedestrian.


Victim Airlifted to Hospital

Emergency services attended the scene where they found the pedestrian, a man in his 30s, seriously injured.
He was airlifted to a London hospital for treatment.
His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening, and he remains in hospital in a stable condition.


Arrest Made in Investigation

The vehicle involved had left the scene before officers arrived, prompting an urgent investigation to locate the driver.

On Wednesday, 30 April, a man in his 20s was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving.
The suspect was interviewed and has since been bailed, pending further investigation.


Police Appeal for Witnesses

Officers continue to appeal for information and are asking anyone who witnessed the incident, or who may have CCTV or dashcam footage, to come forward.
