Swanley Care home loses four clients to COVID19

Four service users  at a Swanley Carehome have died in hospital after testing positive for COVID19.

Bosses at  Emerson Grange that  is residential care home providing nursing and personal care to 40 people aged  over 65 confirmed the residents were diagnosed with COVID-19 while in hospital before their deaths.

Greg Swire, director of Cinnamon Care Collection, said: “Emerson Grange has had one case of COVID-19 confirmed by Public Health England on 8th April and this resident is receiving care at the home.

“There have been no deaths within the home from COVID-19 but sadly four residents hospitalised for pre-existing health issues, tested positive in hospital for COVID-19 prior to passing away and our thoughts are with their families at this very difficult time.

“Emerson Grange has a stringent plan aligned with Government and Public Health guidelines to ensure the safety and wellbeing of our residents and team members.

“In these challenging times we have never been more proud of our professional and compassionate teams who provide residents with the very best care and support.”
