Road Reopens After Two-Car Crash on Newhaven Flyover

Traffic came to a standstill in the Newhaven area on Thursday lunchtime following a two-car road traffic collision (RTC) on the Newhaven flyover. Emergency services attended the scene, and traffic was diverted over the level crossing via a diversion route in both directions using the railway crossing and the Drove.

Road Reopens After Two-Car Crash on Newhaven Flyover

The incident caused significant delays, SussexTW reported that the road was reopened around 14:33.

Motorists were advised to avoid the area during the incident and follow the diversion which added up to an hour to peoples travel time as local roads were congested.
