Paramedics Respond to Fatal Medical Incident in Hollingbury

A tragic event in Hollingbury, Brighton, on the evening of Saturday, February 24, as emergency services were mobilised to a medical emergency at the junction of Carden Avenue and Dale Drive. The incident, occurring around 6:15 pm, saw a coordinated response from both the South East Coast Ambulance Service (SECAmb) and Sussex Police.

Upon arrival, paramedics from SECAmb immediately administered life-saving first aid to a 60-year-old male who was in critical condition. Despite their rapid and skilled efforts, the man was unfortunately pronounced dead at the scene.

A spokesperson for Sussex Police provided a statement on the incident, highlighting the quick action taken by emergency services. “Emergency Services were called to reports of a medical incident on the junction of Dale Drive and Carden Avenue, Brighton at around 6.15 pm on Saturday (24 February). Sadly, despite the best efforts of paramedics, a 60-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.”

The police have confirmed that the man’s next of kin have been informed of the tragic event.

They also stated that there are believed to be no suspicious circumstances surrounding the man’s death,
