Chichester Stabbing: Woman Charged with Serious Assault

A serious incident in Chichester has led to the arrest and charging of a woman in connection with a stabbing. Early in the morning on March 7, police responded to a call about a disturbance at a property on Cory Close. There, they found a 58-year-old man suffering from a stab injury.

Emergency services transported the victim to the hospital, where he is currently being treated. Fortunately, his condition has been described as stable.

The suspect, 56-year-old Jane Carman from Cory Close, was apprehended by the authorities. Following an investigation, she was charged with committing grievous bodily harm under Section 18. This charge points to the severity of the incident and the legal ramifications for Carman.

Looking ahead, Carman is expected to attend a plea hearing at Portsmouth Crown Court on April 5
