Six week old baby escapes injury after Portsmouth hit and run

A couple have been involved in a hit and run in Paulsgrove this evening. The incident happened at the bottom of Watford Road off of Ludlow Road at around 5.45pm. A silver Peugeot convertible Was driving at excess speed Allyway Avenue doing about 60- 70mph and ploughed into the back of a vehicle. The driver than made off up Watford Road towards Deehurst Cresent/Hilslea Road. A second vehicle that was reversed into gave chase but the vehicle made off. Those involved were very lucky. One vehicle had a six week old baby onboard. The driver of the vehicle that made off was late 20’s/early 30’s, light hair, clean shaved, silver peugeot 206/208/308 old shape. Anyone with information is asked to contact Hampshire Constabulary.
