The injured man was taken by LAS to a north London hospital where his condition was initially life threatening. He has since been discharged from hospital but will require ongoing treatment.

A 27-year-old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of grievous bodily harm. He is currently released under investigation pending further enquiries.

Detective Constable Sotiria Koilia, investigating, said: “I know that there were witnesses present when this incident took place, but unfortunately, most left the scene without speaking to officers. I urge those people to now come forward and speak with us about what they saw.

“You can contact us anonymously via Crimestoppers if you don’t want to speak directly to police, but please do get in touch. A man was seriously injured in this incident and it is important that we have clarity on the circumstances leading up to, and immediately following, the incident.

“If you were there, even if you don’t believe you have anything of value to add, please do get in touch.”
