Three people have been charged in connection with burglaries in Thanet

Three men have been charged in connection with burglaries in Thanet. Sam Crew, 25 of Arlington Gardens in Margate; Ryan Fountain, 24 of no fixed address; and Marc Reed, 33 of no fixed address, were all charged with conspiring to steal from a number of people between 24 June and 16 July 2019. The charges were authorised by the Crown Prosecution Service following an investigation by Kent Police into a total of 19 offences in Thanet, comprising of burglaries at both businesses and homes, as well as thefts of cars. The reports include the theft of a van from Kingfisher Close in Margate on 8 July; a burglary at the Co-op store in Hopeville Avenue in Broadstairs where cigarettes were stolen, and cash stolen from a farm shop in Birchington, both on Monday 15 July. All three men appeared at Margate Magistrates’ Court on Thursday 18 July 2019 where they were remanded in custody to next appear at Canterbury Crown Court on Monday 19 August.
