Highways England Will Be Closing The A249 Northbound Between M20 Junction 7 Roundabout And The Stockbury Roundabout From 10pm Friday 4 March 2022 Until 5am Monday 7 March 2022 To Move Utility Pipes And Services

The A249 northbound between M20 junction 7 roundabout and the Stockbury roundabout from 10pm Friday 4 March 2022 until 5am Monday 7 March 2022 to move utility pipes and services. Please note, there will be no access the A249 northbound from M20 junction 7. The southbound carriageway will remain open, and traffic coming from Sittingbourne towards Maidstone can travel as usual. Traffic will still be able to access the roads off the northbound carriageway via the crossovers from the southbound carriageway. You will not be able to use Oad Street to cross over the A249 to reach Stockbury roundabout. Access will be maintained for properties directly on the northbound carriageway. For motorway traffic, follow the diversion via: Take the M20 westbound towards London at junction 6 take the westbound exit slip onto the A229 northbound towards Gillingham take the Lord Lees roundabout exit slip, and take the third exit onto the A229 at the next roundabout take the third exit, onto the M2 eastbound towards Canterbury take the M2 junction 5 eastbound exit slip onto the Stockbury interchange and continue journey For non-motorway traffic, follow the diversion via: Take the A249 into Maidstone turn right onto the A229 northbound towards Gillingham follow this road until you reach the A2 roundabout and take the second exit onto the A2 eastbound and continue towards Sittingbourne at the Key Street roundabout, take the fifth exit on the A249 southbound towards Maidstone
