Hither Green burglar Bailed By Police

Detectives appealed for information regarding a man they wanted to trace in connection with an aggravated burglary in Hither Green, Lewisham. Billy Jeeves, aged 28, was located and detained in north Kent on Friday, 20 April, by officers from both the Met and Kent Police. He was arrested on suspicion of one count of aggravated burglary, one count of burglary, two counts of theft and possession of a controlled substance. He was taken into custody at a Kent police station and interviewed for all matters. He has been bailed to a date in mid-May regarding the aggravated burglary in Hither Green pending further enquiries. He is due in court today, Monday, 23 April, at Bromley Magistrates Court for failing to appear for a separate Met police matter unrelated to the burglary in Hither Green. + The burglary, two theft offences, and arrest for possession of a controlled substance are being handled by Kent Police.
