Thomas Fawns, an Edmonton councillor suspended by the Labour Party, is under investigation by police following multiple sexual assault allegations, including one claim of rape, UKNIP has confirmed.
Fawns, who was elected in May 2022 to represent Upper Edmonton, was suspended by Labour in February 2024 after the party was notified of the allegations made by three women. He has since continued to sit as an independent councillor and remains active on Enfield Council, including as a member of the planning committee.
Police Confirm Investigation Ongoing
A Metropolitan Police spokesperson confirmed the force is conducting an active investigation, but as of now, no arrests have been made and no charges have been filed.
UKNIP understands that the alleged offences date back to between 2011 and 2016.
