At approximately 3pm on Saturday, 3 April, the man who has been named as David Chick came down from the crane. He has been arrested on suspicion of aggravated trespass, public nuisance and criminal damage.”
Chick had scaled a crane and unfurled what appears to be a Black Lives Matter banner in east London on Wednesday Morning
He appeared at the top of the crane in Hallsville Road, Canning Town, next to a Morrisons supermarket.
Police are aware of an ongoing protest in Hallsville Road, E16 and officers remain on scene
A spokesman for the Met Police said: At approximately 3pm on Saturday, 3 April, the man came down from the crane. He has been arrested on suspicion of aggravated trespass, public nuisance and criminal damage.”
