Woman’s Hand Bitten By Dog In Draycott: Police Appeal For Information

Derbyshire Police are seeking information regarding an incident in which a woman’s hand was bitten by a dog in Draycott. The incident is believed to have occurred on Station Road, across from Wilsons Pharmacy, at approximately 11:40 BST on Tuesday, September 5.

The victim, a woman in her 70s, was walking in the company of a friend when they encountered a man who was walking with a dog, suspected to be a Rottweiler. According to the victim, the dog bit her hand, resulting in a wound that required medical attention. Fortunately, the injury is not believed to be severe.

The man accompanying the dog is described as wearing dark clothing and having a thin, pointed nose.

Authorities are urging anyone who may have witnessed the incident or possesses information that could help identify the dog’s owner to come forward by calling 101
