Woman Hospitalised After Falling from Scaffolding on Eltham High Street

A woman has been hospitalized after falling from scaffolding on Eltham High Street in the early hours of Thursday morning.

Emergency services responded to a call at 12:50 am yesterday reporting a person on scaffolding at Eltham High Street. Upon arrival, it was discovered that a woman in her 20s had fallen from the scaffolding.

Police, along with the London Fire Brigade and London Ambulance Service, attended the scene. Safety cordons were put in place as the woman received medical attention.

The injured woman was treated at the scene before being transported to a south London hospital. Fortunately, her injuries are reported to be non-life-threatening.

No arrests have been made in connection with the incident.

A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police stated: “Police were called at 12:50 am on Thursday, April 4, to reports of a person on scaffolding at Eltham High Street. A woman at the scene fell from the scaffolding. Officers, the London Fire Brigade, and the London Ambulance Service attended. Safety cordons were established, and the woman, aged in her 20s, was treated at the scene before being taken to a south London hospital. Her injuries were not life-threatening. There were no arrests.”

Residents and passersby are reminded to remain vigilant around construction sites and to report any safety concerns to the appropriate authorities.
