Woman Arrested over Stabbing Incident in Colchester, Essex
Officers arrest driver of car found to contain 121 cannabis plants

Essex Police have arrested a 43-year-old woman in connection with a stabbing incident that occurred in Colchester. The incident left a man in his 30s with multiple stab wounds, prompting a swift response from law enforcement.

The authorities were alerted to the situation shortly before 3.30am on Sunday, prompting officers to converge on Maidenburgh Street in Colchester. The injured man was promptly transported to a nearby hospital, where he is currently in stable condition, recovering from his injuries.

The 43-year-old woman has been taken into custody on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent. She has since been released on bail, with her next appearance in court scheduled for March 8. This decision has been made to allow the police to continue their inquiries into the incident.

Insp Jenna Mirrington-French assured the public that the police believe this to be an isolated event, alleviating concerns within the community. Nevertheless, Essex Police are urging anyone who may possess additional information regarding the incident to step forward and assist with the ongoing investigation
