White fronted geese seen for the first time at Sanown nature reserve

Ten white-fronted geese have been spotted at Sandown Meadows nature reserve on the Isle of Wight! This is a first for Sandown Meadows, and we were delighted to see these winter visitors making themselves at home. Interestingly, white-fronted geese have different coloured bills depending on where they are from – birds from Siberia have pink bills, while birds from Greenland have orange bills.
