A vulnerable man who won’t speak to strangers and requires medication is missing from Wandsworth.

Mazhar Ahmad, 58, was last seen at Hyde Park Corner at 5.38 pm on Thursday, June 6. He had been visiting the Natural History Museum with his father when he went missing after they left.

Mazhar was last seen by his father outside the museum, heading towards Knightsbridge. He is described by police as vulnerable and in need of medication for his mental health, which he does not have with him.

According to police, Mazhar speaks very little English and will not talk to strangers, raising concerns that he will be unable to ask for help or may have become unwell somewhere.

In previous instances when he has disappeared, Mazhar has walked up to 20 miles, meaning he could be in a surrounding borough or even outside of London.

Mazhar is described as of medium build with short dark hair. He was last seen wearing a jumper, black trousers, white shoes, and a brown cap. Police have shared a photo of him wearing the jumper.

His family and police are extremely worried for his welfare.

If you have seen Mazhar Ahmad, or have any information about his whereabouts, please contact the police on 101, quoting reference 6868/06JUN24.
