Visitors To #maidstone May See Police Officers Out And About With Their Knife Bar This Week. The Town's Community Policing Team Will Be Working In Public Spaces And Anyone Suspected Of Carrying A Knife Or Other Weapon Will Be Stopped And Searched

Inspector Steve Kent, of the Community Safety Unit, said: ‘There are no excuses for carrying knives in a public place and it has been shown that those who choose to do so are more likely to become a victim. I would strongly advise anyone who thinks of carrying a weapon to think again.’ #OpSceptre
