Vehicle Crash Closes Shanklin Road on Isle of Wight
Serious Collision on A43 in Northamptonshire Leads to Road Closure

Shanklin Road (A3020) has been closed following a vehicle crash near the Whiteley Bank Roundabout this morning. Emergency services were contacted at 7.48am about a vehicle that had crashed into a hedge close to the intersection with Canteen Road and St Johns Road.

Police and emergency personnel have been on the scene for some time, working to ensure a safe environment and to determine the cause of the accident. The road is currently closed from the roundabout towards Shanklin to allow for a thorough investigation and safe working conditions.

Island Roads has been contacted to implement hard road closures to assist with managing the situation.

The driver of the vehicle is currently receiving care from the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service. No further details about the driver’s condition or the cause of the crash have been released at this time.
