Urgent Call for Leads on Coventry Park Sexual Assault Incidents

West Midlands Police are urgently seeking information after two separate incidents of sexual assault occurred in Coventry within the past week. The incidents have left the victims deeply distressed, prompting a call for public assistance in identifying the perpetrator.

In the most recent incident, which transpired just before 1am on 27 January, a man approached an 18-year-old woman near the entrance of Swanswell Park and Pool, located near White Street and Primrose Hill Street. The assailant sexually assaulted the victim, prompting her friend to intervene upon hearing her distress call. The perpetrator fled in the direction of Stoney Stanton Road.

A similar incident occurred around 12.40am on 21 January when an 18-year-old woman was approached from behind by a man in the same park and subjected to a sexual assault. The victim fought back, and the assailant fled the scene.

Police are actively supporting both victims as they cooperate with ongoing investigations. The suspect is described as a male between 5ft 4in and 5ft 9in tall, of slim build, and aged between 20 and 30 years old.
