Urgent Appeal: Two Girls Missing from Herne Bay

Police in Kent are urgently seeking the public’s assistance in locating two missing girls from Herne Bay, identified as Abigail Burt, 14, and Olivia Porter, 11.

The pair were last seen boarding a London Victoria-bound train at Herne Bay railway station around 5:20 pm on Friday, February 23, 2024.

Abigail is described as approximately 5ft, 6ins tall with light brown hair worn in a bun, while Olivia stands at about 5ft, 7ins tall with dark brown hair styled in a ponytail.

Both girls are believed to be dressed similarly, wearing black leggings, black tops, black trainers, and black coats with fur-lined hoods.

There are concerns that the girls may have travelled to London or disembarked at one of the intermediate stops. They may also have been headed to the Carshalton or Sutton areas of south London, or Horsham, West Sussex.

In light of these circumstances, authorities are urging anyone with information on their whereabouts to contact emergency services immediately by dialling 999 and quoting reference number 23-0839.

The public’s vigilance and cooperation are vital in ensuring the safe return of Abigail and Olivia to their families.
