Urgent Appeal for Information Following Assault on Child in Bristol

Authorities are making a public appeal for assistance in identifying a suspect involved in the assault of a 10-year-old child in the Soundwell area of Bristol. The distressing incident took place on Friday, March 22, just before 7.45pm near Soundwell Road.

The child was reportedly attacked, strangled, and forcibly pushed against a fence by a male assailant. The severity of the attack has raised significant concerns about the child’s safety and the urgency to apprehend the individual responsible.

The suspect is described as a man in his late 30s to early 40s, with receding black hair. At the time of the attack, he was dressed entirely in black. Officers from Avon and Somerset Police stress the importance of identifying and locating this man to aid in their investigation and ensure no further harm comes to the community.
