As a result of the ongoing incident, road closures along Kings Road from West Street to Steine Street and Old Steine will remain in place, affecting traffic and pedestrian access.

In a recent update, a spokesperson for the East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service (ESFRS) said, “We expect to remain on scene through the evening. Please stay away from the area and keep windows and doors closed.” They added that while an investigation is currently underway, it is not expected to conclude for some time.
