Police are appealing for witnesses following a kidnap in Oxford.

On Wednesday (30/9) between 11.55am and 12.10pm, the victims, a man in his twenties and another man in his thirties, were walking along Bartholomew Road when they were stopped by four men in a dark coloured BMW and forced into the car.

They were driven around for around three hours but were not injured and did not need hospital treatment.

Investigating officer Detective Constable Christopher Bennett, based at Oxford police station said: “I am appealing to any witnesses who may have seen what happened, or anyone who may have information about this incident to please come forward.

“I would also urge any motorists who were in the local area around the time this happened to check dash-cam footage in case it may have captured something significant.

 

A 31-year-old man, of no fixed abode and a 40-year-old man, a 42-year-old man and a 46-year-old man, all from Oxford were arrested on suspicion of kidnap and released on police bail until 28 October.
