Two people Rescued and Five others escape early Morning House fire in Hackney

Five people escaped and two were rescued by firefighters after a fire broke out in a house on Clissold Crescent in Hackney, N16, this morning. A number of people were assessed by ambulance crews and one was treated for smoke inhalation. Part of the ground floor of the four storey zanaflexhome.com semi-detached house was damaged by fire. Four fire engines and 21 firefighters and officers from Stoke Newington, Holloway and Islington fire stations were at the scene. The Brigade was called at 7.54am and the fire was under control by just 9am. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
