Two men have died, and a third has been left with life-changing injuries following a multi-vehicle collision on the A13 in Rainham.

The crash occurred near the Ferry Lane Interchange at approximately 4:25 pm on Friday, February 14.
- Emergency services, including the Metropolitan Police, London Ambulance Service, and London’s Air Ambulance, rushed to the scene.
- Despite their best efforts, two men in their 40s succumbed to their injuries at the scene.
- A third man, also in his 40s, was taken to hospital with life-changing injuries, though his condition is not life-threatening.
Police Investigation & Appeal for Witnesses
Detectives are now appealing for witnesses and dash cam footage to help establish the full circumstances of the collision.
Met Police Statement:
Officers were called at 4.25pm on Friday, February 14, to reports of a collision involving multiple vehicles on the A13 in Rainham. A man in his early 40s, a passenger in one vehicle, and a man in his mid-40s, the driver of another, died at the scene. Their next of kin have been informed.”
The A13 remained closed for nearly 20 hours while police conducted investigations and recovery operations, finally reopening at midday today (February 15).
