Two Men Have Been Charged With Grievous Bodily Harm In Connection With A Stabbing In Rochester

 

At 5.30 p.m. on Thursday, July 7, 2022, a member of the public contacted Kent Police after noticing blood on the front door of a flat in The Fairway, Rochester.

Officers arrived at the address and discovered a man with injuries consistent with stab wounds to his head and hand. Other assault injuries were also present. He was taken to the hospital and is still there.

Officers arrested two people on suspicion of assault as part of the investigation.

Lewis Barovbe, 25, of no fixed address, and Stephen Gillard, 32, of Trevale Road, Rochester, were both arrested and charged with grievous bodily harm with intent on Monday, July 11.

They appeared in Medway Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, July 12th, and were remanded to appear in Maidstone Crown Court on Monday, August 8th.
