Two Charged in Margate Robbery Involving Assault and Threats

Early on Wednesday morning, Margate was the scene of a violent robbery that led to two arrests and subsequent charges. Kent Police were called to an incident at approximately 3:40 AM on July 24, following reports that three men had forcefully entered a residence on St Paul’s Road in the Cliftonville area.

The intruders reportedly threatened two occupants of the home, demanding money and assaulting one of the residents. The suspects then fled the scene in a vehicle. Police response was swift, and the assaulted man was promptly taken to a local hospital; he has since been released following medical treatment.

In a collaborative effort with South Yorkshire Police, two suspects were apprehended. Ahmed Musa, 26, from Britnall Street, Sheffield, and Gadalsed Frahna, 28, from Deer Park View, Sheffield, have both been charged with robbery, possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence, and possession of an offensive weapon.

The accused were scheduled to appear before Sheffield Magistrates’ Court on Friday, July 26. The charges laid against them mark a significant development in the case, which has caused considerable concern in the local community.

Kent Police continue their investigation into the incident and are working to identify the third suspect involved in the robbery. Authorities are urging anyone with further information to come forward to assist with the ongoing inquiries.
