Three arrests made in connection with Stratford murder

Detectives investigating the fatal stabbing of a man in Newham have made three arrests. On Wednesday, 19 June, a 25-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder. Two females 34yrs and 17yrs were arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to murder. All three remain in custody at separate London police stations. Police were called by the London Ambulance Service at approximately 12.40am on Monday, 17 June to reports of an unresponsive man found collapsed with stab injuries on Whalebone Lane, near to West Ham Lane, E15. Officers attended the scene. The man was pronounced dead at the scene at 1.01am. He has been named as 42-year-old Giedrius Juskauskas, a Lithuanian national who lived in the East Ham area. His next-of-kin have been informed. A post-mortem examination held at East Ham Mortuary on Monday, 17 June gave the cause of death as hypovolemic shock, which was caused by multiple stab wounds. Detectives from the Met’s Homicide and Major Crime Command are investigating. Detective Chief Inspector Larry Smith, who is leading the investigating, said: “Overnight, we have made three arrests but our investigation continues. “I am urging anyone with information regarding this fatal stabbing to come forward and speak with my team. Were you in the vicinity of Whalebone Lane from around 00:30hrs? Did you see anything suspicious?
