Police say the woman who died in a dog attack at a Surrey beauty spot on Thursday was walking several dogs when she was attacked. The hound pack is believed to have been chasing a number of horses and riders, and the woman killed was attempting to call them off.

  After being attacked by a dog in Gravelly Hill, Caterham, paramedics were unable to save the 28-year-old from London. Officers with specialised training are assisting her next of kin. At the scene, Surrey Police detained eight dogs, and detectives are keeping their owners informed of the investigation.
