Following a serious assault in Faversham, two suspects will appear in court. Officers were called to St Paul’s Avenue between 5 and 5.20 p.m. on Wednesday, January 25, 2023, where a man was treated by South East Coast Ambulance Service for injuries, including one consistent with a stab wound. The 19-year-old victim was taken to a hospital in London, where he is in serious but stable condition.
On Saturday, January 28 and Monday, January 30, a teenage boy and a man were arrested in connection with the incident. It is believed that the victim and the suspects knew each other.
Kai Theodule, 18, of Maple Gardens in Canterbury, and a 17-year-old boy were later charged with intentional wounding. In addition, he was charged with having a bladed article in a public place. Both were remanded in custody and scheduled to appear in Folkestone Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, January 31.
Detectives are still urging witnesses and anyone with information to contact them. Drivers who have dashcams and residents who have private CCTV are also asked to look for relevant footage.
