Thames Valley Police Seeks Man in Connection with Oxford Firearms Incident

An offender threatened a man in his thirties with a firearm in Morrell Avenue at around 2.50pm on 5 July but no one was hurt.

Investigating officer Detective Constable Josephine Cassidy, of Oxford CID, said: “I understand this firearms incident may be alarming but fortunately they are extremely rare and there is no known threat to the wider public.

“I am appealing to anybody who recognises this man to please get in touch with us following this firearms incident.

“If you see him, do not approach him but call 999 instead.

“To provide information, call 101 or make a report on our website, quoting reference number 43240318527.

“Alternatively, you can provide information anonymously to independent charity Crimestoppers by calling 0800 555 111 or via its website.

“If you are the man pictured, please come forward as soon as possible by calling 999 or visiting a police station.”
