Swale Theft Spree Suspect Charged with 16 Counts, Due in Court
Teenager Charged Following Attempted Robberies in Sheerness

A suspect has been charged with multiple thefts in Swale and is remanded to appear at court. Between 29 June and 19 December 2023, Kent Police received reports of 16 shoplifting offences at stores in Queenborough, Sheerness and Bobbing. The businesses targeted were Aldi, B&M Bargains and the Co-op. Property allegedly stolen included quantities of meat, alcohol, groceries and household electrical items with a total value of more than £2,400.

An appeal for information was issued by officers and on Thursday 18 January 2024 a man was arrested at Medway Police Station. Nathan Palmer, of Johnson Avenue, Gillingham was later charged by investigators from the Swale Victim Based Crime Team with 16 counts of theft. The 28-year-old was remanded in custody to appear before Medway Magistrates’ Court on Friday 19 January.
