Southampton Pub Murder Suspect appears at Winchester Crown Court

Harry Joyce 27, of Barry Road Southampton has this morning, appeared in Winchester Crown Court charged with the murder of Bitterne man Perry Cardy. Joyce was in the dock looking around the courtroom with guards behind him, there were 8 members of public watching the brief hearing from the gallery The hearing was before Judge Keith Cutler who has adjourned the hearing, until a pre-case management hearing on the 10th of July in which Joyce will be expected to enter a plea to the charge against him of murder. Judge Cutler has set a preliminary trial date for the 2nd October 2019. The Murder of Perry Cardy happened after an attack at the Bittern Pub on Friday 19th April 2019. Perry is said to have been punched by Joyce whilst drinking at the Public House. A second man remains under Police investigation.
