South Cambridgeshire Man Sentenced for Indecent Exposure

Patrick Connors, a 22-year-old man, has been sentenced to three and a half years in prison for a series of indecent exposure incidents targeting women in South Cambridgeshire. The court heard that Connors approached five different women between June 13 and June 17 last year in the towns of Sawston, Arbury, and Great Shelford.

According to reports, Connors would drive up to his victims, ostensibly seeking directions, before indecently exposing himself. His actions caused severe distress to the victims, who were left traumatised by the encounters.

Connors was apprehended by authorities on June 19 and remained silent during his interview. However, he later pleaded guilty to six counts of indecent exposure and one count of outraging public decency.

Yesterday, at Cambridge Crown Court, Connors received his sentence. In addition to the prison term, he has been placed on the Sex Offenders Register indefinitely. Detective Constable Ben Smith, who led the investigation, expressed satisfaction that Connors had faced justice.

“Connors was clearly getting gratification from his actions, which were severely distressing for the victims,” said DC Smith. “I’m pleased he has now appeared in court and faced the consequences of his behaviour.”
