Six Hundred Flat visits by Fire Service in Portsmouth

Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service have visited over 600 flats this week in five high-rise blocks in Somerstown, including Edgebaston, Tipton, Handworth, Wilmcote and Ladywood House. They teamed-up with Hampshire Constabulary, Portsmouth City Council, Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks to deliver safety advice, as part of their ongoing commitment to high-rise residents in the city. Out of the flats knocked over 240 residents spoke to firefighters and were able to give personalised advice, answer any questions and report any concerns.
