Serious Collision in Havant sees Road Closures after Man Hit by Car

Officers from Hampshire Roads Policing have closed part of Petersfield Road, New Road and Elmleigh Road in Havant following a serious collision this evening. The closure has been put in place to aid collision investigation work following a collision between a car and a person. The road was closed just before 8pm on Tuesday 21st August 2018. [su_youtube url=”https:///youtu.be/LlH3Vu6FsP0″] The Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air ambulance was also been sent to the scene and landed in the middle of Petersfield Road. It is understood that a 50-year man walked out in front of the vehicle as was mowed down by a car on the roundabout. The road closures are likely to remain in place for some time into the early hours of Wednesday. Drivers are being asked to avoid the area and seek alternative routes.
