Second Arrest Made in Enfield Murder Probe
Surbiton Assault: Kingston Police Seek Witnesses & Information

Detectives probing the murder of a man in Enfield have made a significant breakthrough with a second arrest in connection to the case.

The latest development came in the early hours of Monday, March 4, when a 42-year-old man was apprehended on suspicion of murder. He remains in custody as investigations continue.

This arrest follows swiftly after the detention of a 30-year-old woman on Sunday, March 3, also on suspicion of murder. She too remains in police custody.

The inquiry was launched following a distressing incident that unfolded on Friday, March 1, when authorities responded to reports of a man found injured in the communal area of flats in Lockhart Close, Enfield. Despite the efforts of emergency responders, the victim, identified as 66-year-old George Eric Rogers from Enfield, succumbed to stab wounds at the scene.

While formal identification awaits, the next of kin has been informed, and a post-mortem examination is scheduled to take place at Haringey Mortuary on Monday, March 4.

Detective Chief Inspector Laura Nelson, who is spearheading the investigation, expressed gratitude for the progress made but emphasized the need for more information from potential witnesses. She urged anyone with relevant information or dashcam footage from the vicinity of Lockhart Close, Derby Road, Lincoln Road, or surrounding areas to come forward and assist the investigation.
