The school expressed profound shock and devastation over the tragic accident, stating that they are “devastated that it has claimed the life of one of our young pupils as well as injuring several others.” The independent school caters to girls aged four to 11 and is located on Wimbledon Common, merely a mile away from the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club, renowned for hosting the world-famous tennis tournament.

Reports suggest that the car struck the area of the school occupied by younger girls, ranging in age from four to eight.

The incident has deeply affected the school community and the wider Wimbledon neighbourhood, with heartfelt tributes pouring in for the young victim who tragically lost her life. The investigation into the crash is ongoing as authorities work to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident.

The local community has rallied together to offer support and comfort to those affected by the tragedy. As the investigation progresses, the focus remains on providing care for the injured and ensuring that necessary measures are taken to prevent similar incidents in the future.
