Search for Suspect in Coventry Child’s Death Intensifies

The search for Dolars Aleksanders, a 21-year-old man wanted in connection with the tragic death of 12-year-old Keaton Slater, continues unabated. Specialist officers are tirelessly working to locate Aleksanders following the incident in Coventry.

In a recent development, another 21-year-old man was arrested early yesterday morning on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and is currently being held in custody.

Keaton Slater’s died when he was struck by a black BMW on Radford Road at approximately 16:30 on June 14.

Det Insp Sam Lewis from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit stated, “Our investigation is ongoing, and we’re determined to piece together the events of that fateful evening. We’ve identified four individuals believed to be in the vehicle at the time of the incident.”

The police have interviewed one individual as a witness, and another has been released under investigation after a voluntary interview. The man arrested last night and Dolars Aleksanders are believed to have been in the car as well.

“The community’s support has been overwhelming,” Det Insp Lewis added. “We’re committed to finding Aleksanders and urge anyone with information to contact us immediately.”

The Serious Collision Investigation Unit is also requesting dash cam footage from the area around the time of the incident. A black BMW believed to be involved was found abandoned on Friday evening in New Arley and is undergoing forensic examination.
