A serious riot broke out at the notorious HMP Feltham Young Offenders Institution in Bedfont Road, West London. Emergency services, including Tornado riot squads and negotiators from the UK Prison Service, have been scrambled to the scene in a bid to regain control of the situation.

Sources indicate that the disturbance began at approximately 3:30 PM this afternoon, with reports that a group of prisoners had taken control of a spur within the facility.
The inmates are allegedly threatening to set fires within the prison, adding a heightened level of danger to the situation.
Feltham, known for its history of violent incidents and overcrowding, houses some of the most dangerous offenders, many of whom have been transferred from high-profile courts such as the Old Bailey and the Central Criminal Court in London. One wing of the institution also holds a large number of sex offenders, further complicating the already volatile environment.
Emergency services have responded in force.
Witnesses report seeing at least Three fire engines and several paramedic cars are stationed in the car park outside the facility.
Tornado squads, the specially trained riot control units of the UK Prison Service, have been deployed to bring the situation under control.
A spokesperson for the Ministry of Justice has been approached for comment as the situation continues to unfold. At this time, there are no confirmed reports of injuries or the extent of the damage within the prison.
