Red Arrow Plane met by emergency services at Farnborough Airport

A Red Arrows plane has suffered a burst tyre whilst landing at Farnborough Airport in Hampshire this afternoon. The aircraft was met by airport fire and rescue services after managing to land safely. Fire crews from Hampshire fire and rescue from Rushmoor were also called to the incident. Pictures Credit:@Maxime_d_V The runway was subsequently closed to all traffic whilst the remains of the tyre and other FOD was removed. The Pilot of the RAF Fairford bases plane escaped uninjured following the incident. The group are using the airport for a display at the Goodwood Festival of speed later in the day.
