Quick thinking Tanker driver averts Major Incident on M3 Motorway
Fire Crews and Police where Called to deal with an incident involving 39,100 Litres of fuel on a busy Hampshire Motorway this afternoon. Having a working fire extinguisher stopped this from turning into a major incident. Officers from the Hampshire Road Policing Commercial Vehicle unit praised the quick thinking driver of the Large goods vehicle: Well done to the driver on M3 today for having a working fire extinguisher and knowing how to use it. Fire crews from Hampshire fire and rescue carried out scene safety and used fans and Foam to make the area safe.
